Tom Welling Suits Up For ‘Draft Day’

EXCLUSIVE: Tom Welling has landed a role in Draft Day, the Lionsgate-Summit and Odd Lot Entertainment football movie starring Kevin Costner, Jennifer Garner and Denis Leary among a starry cast and is being directed by Ivan Reitman. Reitman’s Montecito Pictures is producing. Welling will play Brian Drew, a veteran quarterback in the crossroads of his career, in the story about a Cleveland Browns GM Costner who attempts to trade up for the first pick in the NFL Draft and save football in the city.

Tom Welling hit up Hakkasan Las Vegas nightclub’s grand opening Saturday at the MGM Grand Hotel. The former Smallville actor strutted his beautiful mug down the GQ Magazine red carpet, and while he looked AH-mazing, we have to admit, we miss the Clark Kent hair!

It’s time to talk about Smallville.A giant of mediocre American television, Smallville ran for ten years, produced over 200 episodes and gave the world unrivalled access to Tom Welling’s abs. So far, so good.It began on the now-defunct Warner Brothers television network before transferring to the CW network for season 6 and sustained an average of 4.34 million viewers, with a series high of over 9 million.The narrative core of the series was the origin story of Superman or Clark Kent, as the TV series almost exclusively knows him as. It followed Clark from his days as an ‘awkward’ freshman year 9 for those of you not state-side, through to the beginnings of his career at The Daily Planet.

It could be the plot of a young adult novel:

 

Teenage girl from a broken home discovers that her father is a super villain and decides to be a hero to work against him. She has to deal with other crimefighters who don’t think she’s qualified, an unplanned pregnancy, a horrific torture and beating, a miraculous rebirth to do charity work, and a triumphant return as a respected hero. Unfortunately, that return is abruptly ended at the hands of an all-powerful and unknowable foe.

 

Not ready to give up, she’s about to escape the banishment when that mysterious foe quashes her down again.

 

That’s essentially the story of Stephanie Brown’s fictional life.

Kicking off her stay on the Island State, Ashley Tisdale was spotted arriving in Hawaii yesterday afternoon (March 18).

The “High School Musical” cutie looked to be in good spirits as she carried her luggage and joined her friends on a shuttle bus. No diva behavior here!

Over the weekend, Miss Tisdale took to her Twitter page to reminisce about getting fit on the set of her former “Hellcats” gig.

She tweeted, “When running on the treadmill having Tom Welling in front of you makes it a lot easier How lucky was I to have him as an exec producer. #HOT”

you take a look online, there are some great promotional pictures of “Smallville” star Tom Welling donning the famous Superman suit. Sorry “Smallville” fans, I’m more of a Batman guy, so I’m not sure if Welling actually wore the costume in the series or not, but he did look great in those photos.

The Superman suit, as we all know, is some skintight blue outfit, complete with red underwear that, for some reason, is located outside of the suit. I guess Clark Kent’s tailor was Madonna?

When I was a kid, it was the late Christopher Reeve who wore the suit. Yet, I don’t remember my parents turning off the television, or marching us out of the theater, because of the corruptive nature of seeing someone in red underwear
