Justice League Film Must Learn From The Avengers Success

 

Marvel’s “The Avengers” has grossed over $1 Billion worldwide and is one of the most successful films in history. Yesterday it was announced that Warner Bros. would seek to duplicate this success by moving forward with the development of a much expected “Justice League” Movie. As a fan of the JLA and of its many members I should be ecstatic about this—but I’m not. In fact, given the information we have, I think it’s a pretty big mistake.

In brief, we’ve been told that Warner Bros. has hired “Gangster Squad” writer Will Beall to provide a screenplay likely to feature Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman…..

WonderCon 2012 guide: Jim Lee among top guests | Hero Complex

WonderCon is coming to the Happiest Place on Earth (or at least, really close to it). The Bay Area tradition makes a one-year detour to Anaheim, where fans of comics, film and anime will converge at the Anaheim Convention Center this weekend, March 16-18.

We’ve got the lowdown on WonderCon‘s famous faces and can’t-miss panels, including appearances by “The Amazing Spider-Man” actress Emma Stone, “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders and “True Blood” actor Alexander Skarsgård, who stars in the upcoming “Battleship” movie.

Of course, the convention puts the spotlight on comics creators, among them DC’s co-publisher and “Justice League” artist Jim Lee, “Angel & Faith” artist Rebekah Isaacs, “30 Days of Night” writer Steve Niles, “Tomb of Dracula” writer Marv Wolfman, “Daredevil” writer Mark Waid and more.
